What energy are you focusing on?
It is so easy to talk negative about someone or complain.Without realizing it, you are putting that bad energy out to the universe. There’s a quote I came across that said:
“We become what we think about. Energy flows where attention goes.” — Rhonda Byrne
How many times have you started off your morning with negative thoughts and there was heavy traffic on the way to work, you kept getting red lights, someone cut you off, you got to work late and blamed the situations you were in ? How about when you talked badly about someone, then later you found out someone else was talking badly about you? There are things in our control(like our thoughts, emotions, feelings) and some are out of our control ( the weather, accidents, traffic). It might sound like a coincidence that you are having a bad day just because but in reality, you can make it better. Think about the perfect day, or a day when you felt it was an amazing best day! How did you feel? What were you doing? How did you make people feel? Were you focusing on the good? A good mood? Being present with your family and friends? Did you get a nice server who helped you with your food. A kind stranger open the door for you. A neighbor said good morning to you. Were your kids making you laugh uncontrollably? Were you spending quality time with a loved one. Working and completing a project you felt passionate about. Was it as simple as a great morning walk with your dog. Reading an amazing book. Siping on some warm tea. Eating your favorite food.
Are you feeling better now, thinking about amazing things that happen on your daily life ?
Although it is important to focus on the good, it is necessary to reflect. All of it has shaped you of who you are, how you choose to change, who you are becoming. Be grateful. There’s always something to choose joy, peace, love instead of fear, regret or anger. Life is our greatest teacher. Live it with good intentions.
